A glimpse of some free eBook websites.

I for one love eBooks and free ones are the best. With all the free eBooks available, you can literally educate yourself on almost anything or even discover a great book.

Below, I have provided (alphabetically) a list of websites that actually provide free electronic books. Some of these websites don’t carry file types for every device. As long as we have the PDF, we can convert the file to any file type needed. To freely convert your PDF to ePub, go to Online Convert.

“Free to read, download, print, and enjoy. Some have restrictions on bulk re-use and commercial use, please see the collection or the sponsor of a book. By providing near-unrestricted access to these texts, we hope to encourage widespread use of texts in new contexts by people who might not have used them before.”

textfiles.com

“On the face of things, we seem to be merely talking about text-based files, containing only the letters of the English Alphabet (and the occasional punctuation mark).

On deeper inspection, of course, this isn’t quite the case. What this site offers is a glimpse into the history of writers and artists bound by the 128 characters that the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) allowed them. The focus is on mid-1980’s textfiles and the world as it was then, but even these files are sometime retooled 1960s and 1970s works, and offshoots of this culture exist to this day.”
